Kentucky Bound!

The kids and I are leaving today after school. It's a 20 hour haul and we will be gone for a total of four days! We haven't been there in 2.5 years. The weather will be very cold (27 & 14) on Monday...thank God for Texas!

He is one of my favorite pitchers to watch and root for over the years.

NBA Rookies

He was an NBA prospect since 8th grade! I remember when I lived in Georgetown, KY (1999 - 2004), and a friend named Joe Thurmond told me about a young rising star from Ohio named O.J. Mayo. Now, he is one of the top 3 rookies in the NBA, playing for the Memphis Grizzlies - here pictured with fellow rook, Derrick Rose.

Crazy how we are enamored by young players and yet the predictions were right...this kid can play.

Springsteen & The Dream

Bruce Springsteen is releasing yet another CD - "Working On A Dream". I have not bought the last few of his...Magic & The Seeger Sessions, but fully intend on getting this new one.

Even at 59 years old, he still amazes me with his energy, creativity, and passion.

Christmas Has Come Early!

We were totally surprised by at least 3 inches of snow last night! It started around 5:00 here in Deer Park and did not stop until about midnight...CRAZY!
